With over 10 years of bivocational ministry experience and a majority of those serving as a healthcare chaplain, I am passionate about walking alongside individuals through life's most difficult seasons. My calling is rooted in compassion, presence, and the belief that healing often begins when people feel truly seen, heard, and supported. I have a special heart for grief support, shaped not only by my ministry experience but also by my own personal journey through loss. Having experienced the challenges of grief firsthand, I understand the pain, questions, and uncertainty that can accompany it. My goal is to provide a safe, grace-filled space where individuals can process their experiences, explore difficult questions, find hope, and discover strength for the journey ahead. My counseling approach integrates biblical principles with compassionate listening and practical support, helping clients navigate grief, life transitions, spiritual concerns, and personal challenges. Outside of ministry and counseling, I enjoy caring for my lively menagerie of dogs, cats, and ducks. These beloved animals bring joy, laughter, and a daily reminder of the beauty found in everyday life. It is an honor to walk with others as they seek healing, hope, and renewed purpose.
What to expect, in Rachael’s words
Biblical Counseling is a space to slow down, reflect, and explore your story. I take a contemplative approach, walking alongside you as we forage the trails you want to follow—whether they lead through grief, life transitions, spiritual questions, or the challenges of everyday life. Sometimes healing looks less like finding answers and more like making mud pies in the mud—being willing to sit with life's messiness and discover what can grow from it. My role is to offer a compassionate presence, thoughtful questions, and support as you navigate the path ahead.

Exodus 14:14, "The Lord will fight for you, you need only to be still."
Outside of sessions
Outside of work, you'll usually find me caring for my menagerie of dogs, cats, and ducks, working on homesteading projects, exploring nature, or unwinding with The Great British Bake Off. These simple joys help keep me grounded and remind me to appreciate life's small, meaningful moments.
