DMCA Policy

BetterFaith respects the intellectual-property rights of others and expects users of the BetterFaith platform to do the same. This policy explains how to submit a copyright infringement notice and how we handle it. It is provided in connection with our compliance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512.
Reporting alleged infringement
If you believe content on the BetterFaith platform infringes your copyright, please send a notice that includes:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with information sufficient to locate it (URL or specific page)
- Your contact information (address, phone, email)
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate, and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf

Misuse warning. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), submitting a knowingly false notice can subject you to liability for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.
Counter-notification
If your content was removed or disabled in response to a DMCA notice and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification with:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the material removed and the location it appeared before removal
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
- Your contact information
- Consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which you reside (or, if outside the U.S., for any judicial district in which BetterFaith is located)
- A statement that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notification

Repeat infringers
It is BetterFaith's policy to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.
Designated agent registration
BetterFaith has registered a DMCA designated agent with the U.S. Copyright Office. Our current registration is available in the public DMCA Designated Agent Directory at copyright.gov.
